Pay over Public Duty: Jana Sena MLA’s Hits Out at YSRCP Congress Leaders

Jana Sena MLAs Lokam Madhavi and Sundarapu Vijay Kumar have launched a scathing attack on YSR Congress Party leaders , accusing them of disregarding democratic traditions and showing no respect for the Assembly. Speaking at the Assembly media point on Thursday, they said the government’s recent antics had shamed the legislature .

Highlighting the disruption caused by placards and protests during debates on the state’s progress, they argued that the ruling party is more interested in political theatrics than public welfare. In a biting remark, they joked that if Jagan Mohan Reddy sees opposition status as meaningless, he might as well conduct Assembly sessions from his Tadepalli residence and appoint Botsa Satyanarayana as Speaker.

The MLAs also criticized YSRCP members for attending the Assembly only to mark attendance for salaries , sitting for a few minutes before leaving, fearful of disqualification. They condemned Jagan Mohan Reddy for allegedly encouraging lawmakers to throw papers and create chaos while the Governor was delivering a speech.

They blamed the government’s five-year misrule for reducing their party to just 11 seats , noting that Jagan has yet to bring meaningful change. Outrage was also expressed over the handling of Sri Venkateswara prasadam , which, they claim, was prepared poorly, hurting devotees’ sentiments.

Vijay Kumar questioned the hypocrisy of Jagan , who once tried to strip the opposition of its rightful role and is now demanding recognition. Praising the Chandrababu-Pawan Kalyan coalition , the MLAs said the previous government strengthened the Panchayati Raj system and set the state on a development path. They warned that if YSRCP leaders continue playing politics instead of addressing real issues , voters will deliver a decisive verdict in the next elections.
