Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna has pledged to fight for workers’ rights and welfare in Parliament, promising to raise their long-pending grievances with the Centre and push for concrete solutions.

Speaking at the launch of ‘Hamali Voice’ in Peddapalli, Vamsi Krishna participated in the programme alongside Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy, Professor Kodandaram and MLA Vijayaramanarao.

The MP said protecting workers’ rights and ensuring their welfare would remain among his top priorities. He recalled the contributions of Kaka Venkataswamy towards workers’ welfare and pension benefits, describing his efforts as a source of inspiration. Vamsi Krishna said he would continue working to fulfil those ideals and ensure that workers received justice.

Expressing concern over the failure to resolve workers’ pension-related grievances even after several decades, he assured them that he would raise the issues affecting railway employees, FTI workers and employees from various other sectors in Parliament. He said sustained efforts were necessary to secure relief for those who had been waiting for solutions to their problems for years.

Vamsi Krishna also stressed the need for a dedicated welfare board for workers at the national level. He said he would submit a representation to the concerned state minister and work towards establishing a similar workers’ welfare board in Telangana.

The MP called for a comprehensive discussion on the implications of the new labour laws, working hours, employee rights, recruitment practices and regulations governing the termination of employment. He said these issues required serious parliamentary scrutiny to ensure that workers’ interests were protected.

Emphasising the importance of collective action, Vamsi Krishna said workers’ unity was their greatest strength. He reiterated his commitment to standing by them in their struggle for rights, welfare and dignity, adding that he would continue the fight until their grievances were addressed and justice was delivered.
