PM Modi To Attend UPSC Centenary Celebrations At Bharat Mandapam Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the centenary celebrations of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today, where he will address a gathering marking 100 years of the country's premier recruitment body.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the programme at 11 am. The event will mark the culmination of year-long celebrations that began on October 1, 2025, commemorating the establishment of the UPSC in 1926.

During the programme, Modi will release a UPSC Centenary Commemorative Coin and a Commemorative Stamp to mark the milestone. He will also release a book titled ‘100 Landmark Judgements- Shaping the Policies of UPSC and Public Service Commissions in India’.

The centenary programme is expected to bring together stakeholders associated with public service recruitment and administration from across the country. These include chairpersons and members of State Public Service Commissions, senior Government of India officials, academicians, UPSC officials and other participants.

The celebrations are part of a two-day programme being organised by the UPSC on September 30 and today. The first day features ‘Shatabdi Samaroh – Manthan’ at Bharat Mandapam, with addresses by eminent speakers followed by panel discussions on various themes related to public service commissions and their role.

The UPSC was established in 1926 and has played a central role in conducting competitive examinations and selecting candidates for several key positions in the Union government. Its centenary celebrations provide an occasion to reflect on the institution's evolution and its role in India's public administration.

Today's programme will bring the year-long celebrations to a close, with the Prime Minister's address and the release of commemorative materials serving as the main highlights of the concluding ceremony.
