PM Modi to Visit France and Slovakia for Bilateral Talks, to Participate in G7 Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a week-long visit to France and Slovakia beginning June 13, in a major diplomatic outreach aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and engaging with global leaders at the G7 Summit .

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) , the visit will cover key cities including Nice, Evian and Paris in France, along with a historic State visit to Slovakia. The tour will focus on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, innovation, technology and global challenges.

In the first leg, PM Modi will visit Nice on June 14 for a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron . Both leaders will review the full spectrum of the India France Special Global Strategic Partnership, which has gained momentum in recent years. They will also jointly inaugurate the Bharat Innovates event, bringing together startups and venture capital investors from India, France and other countries.

In the second leg, the Prime Minister will travel to Slovakia for a State visit from June 14 to 16 . This will be th e first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since Slovakia’s independence in 1993. Discussions are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in automobile manufacturing, railway infrastructure, trade and investment.

PM Modi will then attend the G7 Summit in Evian on June 16 and 17, where he will participate in discussions on global economic stability, artificial intelligence, and international solidarity. On the sidelines, he is also expected to hold several bilateral meetings with world leaders.

In the final leg of the visit, the Prime Minister will travel to Paris on June 18 for further engagements and attend the VivaTech Summit , one of Europe’s largest technology and startup events. The visit is expected to further reinforce India’s role as a key global partner in innovation, digital transformation and sustainable development.
