Private Bus Catches Fire On Highway In Tirupati District, All Passengers Escape Unhurt

A major tragedy was averted in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati district on Saturday after a private bus carrying company employees caught fire on a national highway near Tada. Owing to the driver's quick response, all passengers managed to escape safely before the vehicle was engulfed in flames.

According to police, the bus was transporting employees of a private company from Sri City to Sullurupeta after the completion of their work shift. While travelling near Tada, the driver noticed smoke billowing from the engine compartment , indicating a possible mechanical fault.

Recognising the danger, the driver immediately pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and instructed all passengers to get off. The employees evacuated the bus without panic and moved to a safe distance.

Within moments of the evacuation, the fire spread rapidly through the vehicle. Witnesses said the flames quickly intensified, consuming the entire bus. The driver's presence of mind and timely action played a crucial role in preventing injuries and saving the lives of all those on board.

Following an alert, fire and rescue personnel rushed to the scene and launched firefighting operations. The blaze was eventually brought under control, but by then the bus had been completely destroyed.

Officials confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. The fire, however, caused extensive damage to the vehicle and briefly drew the attention of motorists travelling on the busy highway.

Authorities have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the fire. Preliminary information suggests the blaze may have originated from the engine area, though officials said the cause would be determined after a detailed examination.
