Maharashtra is planning a three-day national youth festival in Pune that will bring together around 1,000 young representatives from across India, with a focus on sports, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and culture.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the proposed Viksit Bharat Youth Conclave-2026 on Wednesday, saying it would be held at the Balewadi Sports Complex. The dates are yet to be finalised.

Around 30 to 35 representatives from every state and Union Territory are expected to participate. Of the estimated 1,000 delegates, about 300 will be from Maharashtra and 700 from other states and UTs.

Fadnavis directed officials to plan the festival in a way that attracts more than one lakh young people from across Maharashtra, making it a wider platform for youth participation.

The conclave is being designed to promote leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship, encourage healthy lifestyles, celebrate India's cultural diversity and strengthen national unity.
