Veteran Tamil actor R. Parthiban has been introduced as the formidable antagonist in the upcoming Telugu action drama Ustaad Bhagat Singh , adding fresh intrigue to one of the most anticipated films of the year. The makers recently released Parthiban’s first-look poster, showcasing him as Nalla Nagappa, a powerful and intimidating presence dressed in a maroon kurta and gold shawl, standing regally on a grand staircase.

Directed by Harish Shankar, Ustaad Bhagat Singh features Pawan Kalyan in the role of a tough, upright police officer inspired by revolutionary icon Bhagat Singh . The film pairs high-octane action with a strong socio-political undertone, a combination that has already generated considerable buzz among fans and industry watchers.

Reacting to the reveal, director Harish Shankar expressed gratitude to Parthiban for delivering what he described as a “power-packed and intense performance.” Fans, meanwhile, lauded the actor’s non-routine villain avatar, calling it a refreshing casting choice that elevates the film’s dramatic stakes.

The film also stars Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna as the female leads, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad . Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is currently in the final stages of shooting, with post-production work progressing simultaneously. Earlier glimpses and behind-the-scenes updates have only amplified expectations, especially given Pawan Kalyan’s commanding screen presence in uniform.

Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 26, 2026, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is shaping up to be a major summer draw, blending mass appeal with a strong ideological core and with Parthiban’s striking entry as the antagonist, the clash at the heart of the film promises to be all the more compelling.
