



Rahul Gandhi's 56th Birthday Marked by Greetings from Political Leaders and Public Outreach
Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi celebrated his 56th birthday on Friday, with greetings pouring in from across the political spectrum, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi , chief ministers, Congress leaders and INDIA bloc allies.
Prime Minister Modi extended his wishes through a social media post, wishing Gandhi a long and healthy life. Several political leaders, including DMK president and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin , Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy , and leaders from Kerala and other states, also conveyed their greetings.
Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor praised Rahul Gandhi's leadership on the occasion and expressed confidence in his ability to guide the party through future political challenges. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay was among the prominent leaders who extended birthday wishes to the Congress leader.
The Congress party marked the occasion with a series of welfare and outreach programmes across the country. Party workers organized blood donation camps, health camps, food distribution drives and community service initiatives , reflecting the party's emphasis on public welfare.
In Amethi , Rahul Gandhi's former parliamentary constituency, Congress workers celebrated the day through various social service activities and public engagement programmes.
A major highlight of the celebrations was a large-scale job fair organized by the Indian Youth Congress and the Delhi Congress at Talkatora Stadium in the national capital. The event witnessed participation from more than 150 companies across sectors, offering employment opportunities and conducting on-the-spot interviews. Thousands of young job seekers attended the fair, which the Congress described as an effort to address concerns over unemployment.
Across several states, party workers held symbolic programmes to commemorate the occasion. In Rajasthan, Congress leaders participated in voluntary labour activities, while youth wings organized events focused on employment, social justice and constitutional values.
