Rajamouli Breaks Silence On Suriya Film, But Keeps Fans Guessing

SS Rajamouli has once again fuelled curiosity around his much-awaited collaboration with Suriya, while also opening up about the qualities he admires in his son and producer SS Karthikeya and legendary actor Kamal Haasan.

Rajamouli was speaking at the Chennai pre-release event of 'Don't Trouble the Trouble', where Suriya was also present. When asked when he would finally join hands with the Tamil superstar, Rajamouli said he had anticipated the question and had even prepared an answer.

However, the filmmaker chose not to reveal details, explaining that any major update about a Rajamouli-Suriya project would immediately become the biggest talking point and take attention away from the film being promoted.

Rajamouli nevertheless teased fans by saying that whenever he and Suriya eventually make a film together, it will be really special. Suriya, who was seated in the front row, laughed at the response. There is currently no official announcement regarding the project's story, timeline or production.

Rajamouli also congratulated Suriya on his recent successes and praised his upcoming film 'Scene'. He said the promotional material looked impressive and noted that Suriya's cop character appears different from his earlier police roles in the 'Singam' franchise.

Meanwhile, promotions for 'Don't Trouble the Trouble' have been gaining momentum ahead of its October 2 worldwide release. Directed by Sashank Yeleti and starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead, the fantasy entertainer is presented by Rajamouli and produced by SS Karthikeya along with Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni.

One of the major talking points surrounding the film is its trailer, which features voiceovers by four prominent stars from South Indian cinema. For the Tamil version, Kamal Haasan lent his voice to the narration and reportedly recorded three different versions.

Rajamouli revealed that multiple versions were not even necessary, but Kamal delivered them with great sincerity. The filmmaker said the veteran actor's dedication reflected his commitment to his craft and cinema, earning appreciation from the entire team.

The film's promotional campaign is also set to move across South India. Rajamouli is scheduled to attend the Kochi pre-release event at Lulu Mall, while Jr NTR is also expected to meet the team as part of the promotions.

At the Chennai event, Rajamouli was also asked about the guidance he had given Karthikeya while producing the film. Instead of offering specific advice, he revealed the quality he admires most in his son - clarity of thought.

Rajamouli explained that Karthikeya, as a businessman, values another person's money as much as his own. He said that when a rupee of business is involved, his son thinks about the other person's 50 paise just as much as his own 50 paise. Rajamouli said this ability to value the other person's money is one of the qualities he particularly admires in Karthikeya.

'Don't Trouble the Trouble' stars Fahadh Faasil, Ssara Palekar and Saurabh Sachdeva. The film follows a magician whose life changes after he encounters a young girl with supernatural abilities. Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal and Balakrishna have lent their voices to the Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu trailers respectively.
