Ram Charan Fans Excited As Sukumar’s Wife Shares Proud Note Ahead Of RC17 Launch

Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Sukumar’s upcoming film, tentatively titled 'RC17', is generating considerable buzz ahead of its grand launch in Hyderabad on November 1. Adding to the excitement, Sukumar’s wife, Thabitha Sukumar, has shared a heartfelt note about the project, praising the filmmaker’s dedication and hard work.

Taking to Instagram, Thabitha expressed how proud she feels about the film and the effort Sukumar has invested in writing its story. “As Sukku’s wife, this project makes me incredibly proud and excited. I know the hard work, passion and countless hours he has poured into his writing, and seeing it all come together is so special,” she wrote.

She also highlighted the excitement surrounding the actor-director duo’s reunion, adding that expectations were even higher as they came together for their second film. Her message has further fuelled anticipation among Ram Charan’s fans, who are eagerly waiting for details about the project.

The film marks the reunion of Ram Charan and Sukumar eight years after their acclaimed collaboration 'Rangasthalam'. The 2018 Telugu blockbuster earned widespread appreciation for its storytelling and Ram Charan’s performance as Chitti Babu. Sukumar subsequently directed the successful 'Pushpa' franchise, raising expectations for his next collaboration with the actor.

Meanwhile, several updates about 'RC17' have emerged during pre-production. Ram Charan has reportedly completed a look test and is expected to sport a new appearance featuring long hair. Anirudh Ravichander is also reported to be composing the music, which would mark a departure from Sukumar’s long association with Devi Sri Prasad.

The casting has also become a talking point, with names including Sara Arjun, Aneet Padda and Sathvika Veeravalli circulating in industry reports. However, the makers have yet to officially confirm the female lead.

Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is expected to move towards regular shooting after its launch, with reports suggesting that production could begin in late 2026 or early 2027. The title, storyline and genre remain under wraps, leaving fans eager to see what the launch ceremony reveals.
