Ram Charan–Sukumar’s RC17 Begins Pre-Production, Grand Launch Expected Soon

Fans of Ram Charan are eagerly awaiting his next film with director Sukumar, tentatively titled RC17. The project has generated fresh excitement after the makers performed a pooja ceremony at the film’s production office in Hyderabad, leading to confusion on social media about whether the movie had been officially launched.

The office inauguration marks the beginning of pre-production activities, rather than the grand launch event that fans have been anticipating. The makers are reportedly planning a formal launch around October 20, coinciding with Dussehra, although an official confirmation of the date is awaited.

The upcoming film marks the reunion of Ram Charan and Sukumar after their successful collaboration on Rangasthalam (2018). The film earned widespread appreciation for its storytelling and Ram Charan’s performance, raising expectations for their next project.

Mythri Movie Makers is backing the film, with reports indicating that Sukumar Writings will also be involved in the production. Pre-production work is reportedly progressing, while regular shooting is expected to begin in December 2026.

Ram Charan is said to be preparing for a new look for the project, with reports suggesting that he is undergoing a physical transformation for his role. However, the film’s storyline, genre and complete cast details remain under wraps.

Several names have been circulating regarding the female lead and music composer, but the makers have yet to confirm these details officially. Fans are waiting for the formal announcement to learn more about the film’s cast, technical team and production schedule.

With the successful Ram Charan–Sukumar combination coming together again, RC17 is already attracting considerable attention among Telugu cinema audiences.
