‘Ranabaali’ Teaser Unleashes Vijay Deverakonda In A Fierce Warrior Avatar

The teaser of ‘Ranabaali’, titled ‘The Savage’s Oath’, has been released, offering a glimpse of Vijay Deverakonda in an intense warrior avatar. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the period action drama is set against the devastating Madras Famine of 1876–1878.

Deverakonda plays Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali, a legendary warrior from Rayalaseema who rises against British oppression to protect his people. The roughly two-minute teaser depicts a land devastated by famine, colonial exploitation and violence, before shifting its focus to Ranabaali’s fierce resistance. The makers frame the story as an attempt to remember a forgotten chapter of history, with references to eight million Indian lives lost under British rule.

Rashmika Mandanna stars as Jayamma, Ranabaali’s wife and companion in his fight. The teaser shows their characters sharing a strong bond while hinting at Jayamma’s role in the larger struggle.

Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo plays the principal antagonist, Sir Theodore Hector, an English oppressor who becomes Ranabaali’s central adversary. Their confrontation forms the heart of the teaser’s conflict, with intense action, horseback sequences and brutal clashes highlighting the film’s scale.

With music by Ajay-Atul, ‘Ranabaali’ combines history, folklore, spirituality and rebellion. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026, ahead of the Dussehra season.
