At multiplexes, prices have been capped at Rs. 200 in Telangana and Rs. 177 in Andhra Pradesh, making Rao Bahadur one of the most affordably priced major Telugu releases in recent times.

Presented by Mahesh Babu under the GMB Entertainment banner, the Venkatesh Maha directorial has witnessed exceptional pre-release momentum. After watching the film, Mahesh Babu described it as a "strange, beautiful and intensely dramatic" cinematic experience, adding that it is "not just a film that grabs you by the collar" but one that stays with viewers long after the credits roll.

The film has also won admiration from filmmaker Sukumar , who called Rao Bahadur "surreal cinema" and said Indian cinema has rarely seen a film like it before. He also praised Satya Dev's performance and Venkatesh Maha's unique storytelling, further raising expectations ahead of release.

Adding to the excitement, the recently released trailer has received an enthusiastic response from both audiences and celebrities. Actors including Naga Chaitanya praised it as "very original," while Mahesh Babu's voice-over in the trailer has emerged as one of its biggest talking points. The film has also begun early premiere screenings in the US ahead of its worldwide release.

Starring Satya Dev alongside Deepa Thomas , Rao Bahadur blends psychological drama with period storytelling, suspense, and elements of magical realism. Director Venkatesh Maha , known for his distinctive filmmaking style, has spent years developing the project, which is now being hailed by many in the industry as one of Tollywood's most ambitious and unconventional films of the year.
