Actor Rashmika Mandanna has confirmed that she suffered a serious hip injury while filming her upcoming action thriller Mysaa, revealing that one of the tendons in her right hip detached during a dance sequence. The actor shared the update in a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, days after reports claimed doctors had advised her to take six weeks of complete rest and undergo rehabilitation.

Calling it her "third injury back to back," Rashmika admitted she needs to stop treating her body "like a machine."

Explaining the injury, the actor said one of the four tendons connecting her right hip to her leg detached during the shoot, making it difficult for her to lift her leg. She described Mysaa as the most physically demanding film of her career.

"It happened during my dance shoot for Mysaa. My God, that's the most aggressive film I've ever done for sure," she wrote.

Despite the setback, Rashmika assured fans that she is recovering well. She said the pain is manageable and joked that the injury may be "God's way" of forcing her to finally take a break. She has been spending her recovery period solving puzzles and keeping herself occupied.

The actor also shared that she misses her intense workout routine and laughed about becoming a "dessert monster" while being unable to exercise.

The injury comes after months of demanding action work for Mysaa, directed by Rawindra Pulle. Earlier this year, Rashmika completed what the makers described as India's first female led underwater fight sequence, performing the high risk stunts herself without an action double. The sequence took nearly 20 hours underwater over two days to complete, highlighting the physically challenging nature of the film.

Fans and celebrities flooded her post with messages wishing her a speedy recovery as she takes time off to heal before returning to work.
