Rashmika Mandanna to Reunite With Allu Arjun for Raaka as Mumbai Schedule Set to Begin Soon

The blockbuster pair from Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa 2: The Rule , Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna , are reuniting for Atlee 's ambitious film Raaka , with the next Mumbai schedule starting soon.

Production in Mumbai begins soon and will continue through the year. If on track, filming may end by late 2026. Release is eyed for December 2027, not officially confirmed. Arjun may shift to Mumbai for two to three years to focus fully, showing the scale of the project.

Produced by Sun Pictures , Raaka was announced on Allu Arjun’s 44th birthday on April 8, 2026. Atlee called it a long passion project carried for 18 years, shaping his creative journey.

The first look shows Arjun in a bald, intense avatar with kohl eyes and striking markings. The film explores parallel universes, timelines and alternate realities, with him reportedly playing multiple roles across generations. A theme track titled Make Way For The King has already gone viral.

The budget reportedly exceeds Rs 700 crore, making it Arjun’s costliest film. He is said to earn Rs 175 crore. Deepika Padukone stars as the female lead earning Rs 25 crore, marking her second film with Atlee after Jawan.

Rashmika Mandanna is reportedly set for a negative role, a major shift from her Pushpa image. Janhvi Kapoor , Mrunal Thakur and Femina George also join key roles, forming a strong ensemble cast.

The film uses advanced visual effects with Hollywood technicians. Composer Sai Abhyankkar joins after Atlee selected him based on a single song. Allu Arjun arrives with strong momentum after Pushpa 2 grossed about 194 million dollars globally.
