RC17: Ram Charan-Sukumar Film Gets Major Update Ahead Of Shoot
Ram Charan and director Sukumar are moving closer to production on their much-awaited collaboration, tentatively titled ‘RC17’. The project has been generating significant buzz since it marks their reunion after the blockbuster ‘Rangasthalam’, and the latest reports suggest that the film has now reached an important stage.
According to recent reports, Sukumar has completed and locked the script and is preparing for the final narration to Ram Charan. The team is currently working on pre-production, with shooting expected to begin in November or December 2026. A formal launch is also reportedly being planned before regular filming begins.
Ram Charan’s physical preparation has also become a key talking point. The actor has reportedly almost recovered from his wrist surgery and has begun working on his physique for the role. Sukumar is said to have asked him to lose at least 8 kg, prompting Charan to follow a special diet and workout programme.
The film is reportedly being produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. While Devi Sri Prasad has been reported as the composer by some sources, there has also been speculation about Shashwat Sachdev coming on board. The makers have not officially clarified the music director yet.
Casting remains another major point of discussion. Rukmini Vasanth and Sara Arjun have emerged among the names linked to the female lead, while earlier reports also mentioned other actresses. However, no heroine has been officially confirmed so far.
RC17 reunites Charan and Sukumar eight years after ‘Rangasthalam’, raising expectations for another distinctive collaboration. Details about the official title, storyline, complete cast and release date are still awaited, with the makers expected to reveal more as production approaches.
