Revanth Reddy Will Be CM Only Till 2028, Claims BJP MP Etela Rajender

BJP Malkajgiri MP Etela Rajender has claimed that Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will remain in the post only until 2028, while launching a sharp attack on both the Congress and the previous BRS government over land and student-related issues.

Speaking at a BJP coordination meeting in Shamirpet, Rajender alleged that leaders who gamble with people’s lives do not leave a lasting mark in history. Taking a dig at Revanth Reddy, he remarked that areas such as Addagutta and Warasiguda would not have come up had a chief minister like him been in power in the past.

Rajender also targeted former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, saying the people of Telangana had rejected him and that the setback had left him “dazed”. He accused the previous BRS government of being responsible for the problems surrounding the 22-A prohibited lands list and land registrations under Dharani.

The BJP leader said BRS leaders had no moral right to raise the 22-A land issue, given their role in creating the problems, according to his allegations.

Rajender announced that the BJP would organise a two-day ‘Maha Dharna’ at Hyderabad’s Indira Park on September 5 and 6, demanding relief for people affected by the 22-A prohibited lands list brought in under the Congress government.

Ahead of the protest, he convened a meeting with BJP state and district office-bearers from the Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency, along with division presidents, representatives of various morchas, cell conveners and co-conveners and other senior party leaders. The meeting focused on mobilising the party cadre and ensuring the protest’s success.

Rajender also condemned the arrest of Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao and BJP Legislature Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy near the state Secretariat.

He alleged that the Congress government was putting the future of 40 lakh students at stake by failing to clear outstanding fee reimbursement payments. According to Rajender, ₹15,000 crore in fee reimbursement dues remains pending, preventing students from obtaining certificates and pursuing higher education while also affecting their employment prospects.

Describing the arrests as the second such action in three days, Rajender termed them a “direct attack on democracy”. He said the BJP would not be deterred from exercising its right to protest and would continue its campaign over students’ future and the protection of democratic rights.
