‘Hanuman Ansh’ has emerged as one of the biggest box office surprises of 2026. Made on a reported budget of just Rs 2 crore, the Hindi devotional biographical drama has crossed the Rs 60 crore mark in India, transforming from a slow starter into a genuine low-budget blockbuster.

The film is now ready to take its success beyond India. Hombale Films has announced the international theatrical release of ‘Hanuman Ansh’ on September 11, 2026, through its overseas distribution arm, Hombale Overseas. The international release will be carried out in association with local partner Phars Film.

The overseas release comes as the movie continues its impressive domestic run. Earlier reported at around Rs 52 crore gross, the film has now moved past the Rs 60 crore milestone and is reportedly nearing the end of its fourth weekend.

Directed by Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi, ‘Hanuman Ansh’ is based on the life and spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba, popularly known as Maharaj ji. The film explores his teachings, devotion and philosophy of love and service.

What makes the achievement particularly notable is the film’s modest production scale and limited initial expectations. ‘Hanuman Ansh’ opened quietly in theatres on August 7, but strong word of mouth gradually brought more audiences to cinemas. Its sustained theatrical performance eventually turned it into a major commercial success.

The film also generated considerable attention after reports highlighted its strong 24 hour ticket sales, with the low budget title outperforming several established pan Indian and regional releases in advance bookings and early sales.

Shobhinaw Satyaa plays the titular role, with the film mounted under the banners of Swambhu Media Network and Holy Cow Home Productions. The story of Neem Karoli Baba has also attracted interest internationally, particularly because of his influence among several prominent Western spiritual seekers.

The film’s success has already encouraged the makers to look ahead, with ‘Hanuman Ansh 2’ reportedly in development. The sequel is expected to further explore the spiritual leader’s life and teachings.
