Bollywood star Salman Khan is reportedly in advanced discussions to headline a big-budget period action drama to be directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and produced by Excel Entertainment . According to trade reports, the actor has already heard the script and is said to have been highly impressed by the scale of the story and the character being offered.

The project is reportedly being planned as a two-part historical epic centred on a legendary warrior. While there has been widespread speculation that the film could be Mehra's long-discussed adaptation of Karna , one of the most celebrated figures from the Mahabharata, neither the filmmakers nor the actor have officially confirmed the connection.

Industry insiders claim the role will require a significant physical transformation from Khan, with the actor expected to undergo extensive preparation if he formally signs the project.
