Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 20 Gets Major Twist: Fans To Pick Rhiya Ahir Or Love Gill
Bigg Boss 20 is set for a major twist even before its premiere, with host Salman Khan giving viewers the power to decide which of two contenders will enter the reality show.
In a new promotional video, Salman announced the return of ‘Fans Ka Faisla’, a format that allows the audience to directly influence the selection of a contestant. This time, viewers must choose between Rhiya Ahir and Love Gill, with the winner securing a spot in the Bigg Boss 20 house.
Voting is currently open exclusively on the JioHotstar app and will close on September 2 at 11:59 pm. The winner will be revealed during the grand premiere on September 6, when Salman will welcome the audience’s chosen contestant into the house. Bigg Boss 20 will stream on JioHotstar and air on Colors TV.
Rhiya Ahir has recently gained widespread attention after a video of her standing in front of a police van carrying detained protesters during the CJP protests in Mumbai went viral. The 27-year-old model and actor was seen standing with her arms outstretched in front of the vehicle, preventing it from moving. The footage quickly made her a recognisable face of the protests.
Ahir has also worked as a model and actor and has appeared in music videos. Her possible entry into Bigg Boss 20 would mark a major shift from her recent public image as a protest figure to a reality television contestant.
Her challenger, Love Gill, is a Punjabi actor and model who has worked across music videos, television and films. She is known for her work in Punjabi entertainment, including the television series Tu Patang Main Dor and films such as Haterz, Vekhi Ja Chhedi Na and Furlow.
Gill has expressed excitement over having her potential entry decided directly by viewers, describing the opportunity as an “Extra Jeevan Daan” for her Bigg Boss journey before the season has even begun.
The ‘Fans Ka Faisla’ twist was also introduced in the previous season, when viewers were given the choice between contestants. The makers have now brought the concept back for Bigg Boss 20, once again putting the final decision in the hands of the audience.
