Samantha Ruth Prabhu Shares Glimpses of Traditional Baby Shower

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has shared a series of pictures from her traditional baby shower, offering fans a glimpse into the intimate ceremony as she prepares to welcome her first child with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru.

Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Samantha spoke about her deep respect for Indian traditions and the significance she found in the rituals performed during the ceremony.

“I have always had a deep respect for our traditions. I may not understand the meaning behind every ritual, but I have always believed that there is something deeper at work,” Samantha wrote, reflecting on the role of mantras, chanting and practices passed down through generations.

She said the priest conducting the ceremony was a Srividya Upaasaka, who guided her through each ritual and explained its spiritual significance. Samantha said the experience helped her understand the thought and meaning behind every part of the ceremony.

According to the actor, the mantras, offerings and rituals were carefully performed, with each element carrying a specific purpose. She also explained that sacred water and mantras were used as part of the ritual to cleanse and energise spiritual centres.

One of the pictures shared by Samantha featured Raj Nidimoru standing beside her during the ceremony, giving fans a glimpse of the couple's special occasion.

Samantha confirmed her pregnancy in June 2026 during a Thank You Meet for her film Maa Inti Bangaaram in Hyderabad. At the event, she also indicated that she would be taking a break from work during her maternity period.

“Sorry guys, one more small gap and then I will be back. I know I have to take maternity leave now. But I am very happy,” she had told the media.

Samantha and Raj Nidimoru got married in 2025. It is the second marriage for both. Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021, while Raj was earlier married to Shhyamali De.

As Samantha prepares for motherhood, the latest pictures have given fans a glimpse into the couple's celebrations and the traditions they chose to observe during this special phase of their lives.
