Sampath Nandi Teams Up With SDLP Official For New Film, Pooja On August 14
Director Sampath Nandi is set to begin work on a new film with SDLP Official. The project, currently referred to as Production No. 2, will officially start with a pooja ceremony on August 14, 2026, at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. The event will begin at 1 PM.
The makers have kept most details about the film under wraps. However, their first description gives a clear idea of what to expect. They say the story carries “the fragrance of the soil and the soul of its people.” This suggests a film rooted in village life, local traditions and the culture of its people.
The title, cast, crew and full storyline are yet to be announced. More details are expected after the launch ceremony.
The announcement comes after Nandi's recent work around the Odela franchise. He wrote Odela Railway Station and Odela 2, while Ashok Teja directed both films. Odela 2 starred Tamannaah Bhatia and was presented as a supernatural thriller set around the village of Odela and its traditions.
Nandi, who works as a director, writer and producer in Telugu cinema, is known for films such as Racha, Bengal Tiger, Goutham Nanda and Seetimaarr.
With the new project focusing on the soil, people and culture, Sampath Nandi's collaboration with SDLP Official has already sparked curiosity among Telugu cinema fans.
