Samskruthi Seva Samithi Selects 25 Dharmavaram Graduates for Free Civil Services Coaching

Several initiatives are underway in the Dharmavaram Assembly constituency of Sri Sathya Sai district to strengthen government education and expand opportunities for students and young people, with the support of State Medical and Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav. The efforts range from academic support and free bicycles to examination fee assistance, school infrastructure improvements and free coaching for competitive examinations.

Through the Samskruthi Seva Samithi, which has been working for the past 15 years in the name of the minister’s daughter, assistance is being extended to students and youth in the constituency. The latest initiatives, Vidya Vikasam and Vidya Vahini, were launched under the Ekalavya Foundation with the support of the organisation.

Under Vidya Vikasam, 30 free teaching centres have been established across five mandals, providing additional classes to 843 students. The centres are functioning in Dharmavaram urban and rural areas, Bathalapalli, Tadimarri and Mudigubba. Students struggling academically are being identified and given targeted support to improve their performance. The programme also focuses on building confidence, communication skills, creativity and leadership qualities, alongside strengthening their basic academic foundation.

The Vidya Vahini programme is being implemented in 40 government high schools, where student attendance and academic progress are being monitored. Personality development activities are also being conducted as part of the initiative.

Several measures have also been taken to ease the financial burden on students and families. Around 2,000 Class 10 students in government schools across the constituency have received free bicycles, with Rs 98 lakh spent on the initiative. Examination fees totalling Rs 2,60,875 were paid for 2,087 students studying in 41 schools.

School infrastructure has received attention as well. Toilets were constructed at six government schools in Dharmavaram at a cost of Rs 35 lakh, while drinking water facilities were provided at schools and hostels. Water purification plants were established at Pothukunta BC Colony and Kethireddy Colony for Rs 20 lakh, with another Rs 15 lakh spent on five additional water purification machines.

In a significant initiative for higher education and career opportunities, 25 meritorious graduates from BC, SC and ST communities are being provided free Civil Services coaching for two years. Around Rs 1 crore is expected to be spent on the programme. Another 35 youth are receiving banking examination coaching along with accommodation. Mega job fairs conducted with APSSDC support have also helped thousands of young people secure employment opportunities.
