Elon Musk has once again taken aim at OpenAI CEO Sam Altman , using Apple's explosive trade secrets lawsuit as another opportunity to mock his longtime rival. Shortly after news broke that Apple had sued OpenAI and two former Apple employees over alleged theft of confidential hardware information, Musk fired off a sharp jab on X, writing, "Scam Altman is good at scamming."

The latest remark adds another chapter to the increasingly bitter public feud between the two Silicon Valley heavyweights, who co founded OpenAI in 2015 before parting ways. Their relationship has since deteriorated into years of lawsuits, public accusations, and social media attacks over the future and governance of artificial intelligence.

Apple's lawsuit, filed in a California federal court, accuses OpenAI , former Apple executive Tang Yew Tan , and ex employee Chang Liu of misappropriating trade secrets related to Apple's consumer hardware ambitions. According to the complaint, the former employees allegedly accessed sensitive files and confidential supplier information before joining OpenAI, which is now aggressively expanding into AI powered hardware following its partnership with former Apple design chief Jony Ive.

OpenAI has strongly denied the allegations, saying it has no interest in competitors' trade secrets and remains focused on building transformative AI products. The company also rejected Apple's claims that confidential information played any role in its hardware plans.

Musk, however, wasted little time amplifying the controversy. His "Scam Altman" post quickly went viral, reigniting debate over the strained relationship between the two tech leaders. The Tesla and xAI chief has repeatedly accused Altman of abandoning OpenAI's original nonprofit mission in pursuit of commercial success, allegations that are also at the center of his ongoing legal battle against the company.
