Simbu and Nayanthara Set for Reunion After Nearly a Decade

Tamil actors Simbu and Nayanthara are reportedly being considered for an on-screen reunion after nearly 10 years in an upcoming film directed by Keerthiswaran, who recently attracted attention with his debut directorial venture 'Dude', starring Pradeep Ranganathan.

If the collaboration materialises, it will mark the third film featuring the popular pair. They previously worked together in 'Vallavan' and director Pandiraj's 'Idhu Namma Aalu'. Their on-screen chemistry received considerable attention, making the possibility of their reunion exciting for fans.

According to industry reports, Simbu is expected to play a police officer, while Nayanthara is being considered for the female lead. However, details about her character and the film's storyline remain undisclosed. The project is reportedly expected to go on floors in December 2026.

Music composer Sai Abhyankkar, who worked on 'Dude', is also reportedly associated with the project. Reports further suggest that he has already completed one song for the film.

The upcoming film is expected to be Keerthiswaran's second directorial venture. There are also reports linking the filmmaker to a potential project involving Jason Sanjay, actor Vijay's son, although details about that collaboration remain unclear.

Meanwhile, Simbu is awaiting the progress of his other upcoming project, 'Arasan', directed by Vetrimaaran and reportedly connected to the world of 'Vada Chennai'.

Nayanthara, meanwhile, is preparing for the release of 'Mookuthi Amman 2', directed by Sundar C, which is expected to arrive during the Diwali festive season. She is also reportedly associated with several other upcoming projects.

However, there has been no official confirmation from Simbu, Nayanthara or the filmmakers regarding the proposed reunion, casting, music composer or shooting schedule. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement to know whether the much-anticipated combination will become a reality.
