Speeding Bus Slams Parked Truck, 10 Hurt in Yadadri

A road mishap was reported on Tuesday morning near Dandumailaram in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district after a state-run bus collided with a stationary container lorry .

The bus, operated by Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation and attached to the Nidudavolu depot, was travelling from Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad when the driver reportedly lost control and crashed into a container truck parked along the roadside. Ten passengers sustained injuries in the impact. Police confirmed that 36 passengers were on board at the time.

The accident occurred under the limits of the Choutuppal police station. Officers rushed to the scene and initiated rescue operations . The injured were shifted to Choutuppal Government Hospital for treatment, and officials said their condition is currently stable .

Preliminary findings suggest poor visibility in the early hours or possible driver fatigue may have caused the crash. An investigation is underway to ascertain the exact reason.

The incident briefly disrupted traffic on the national highway before police cleared the damaged vehicles with a crane and restored normal movement.
