India's rising motorsport sensation Atiqa Mir received a significant boost in her pursuit of a future in Formula 1 after Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya assured her of full support following her remarkable performance in Greece.

The 11-year-old racer, who has rapidly emerged as one of the country's brightest young sporting talents, met Mandaviya along with her family at the minister's residence in New Delhi on Sunday. The meeting came days after Atiqa produced a stunning display at the Champions of the Future Academy (COTFA) Round 2 championship in Greece, further strengthening her reputation on the international karting circuit.

During the interaction, Mandaviya congratulated the young driver on her achievements and encouraged her to continue chasing her dream of reaching Formula 1 , a milestone that remains one of the toughest challenges in world motorsport. He also assured her of all possible assistance as she progresses through the highly competitive racing ladder.

Expressing her gratitude after the meeting, Atiqa shared on social media that the Sports Minister appreciated her recent performances and offered valuable advice for the road ahead. She said the encouragement and support would motivate her to work harder towards achieving her ultimate goal of securing a Formula 1 seat .

Atiqa's rise has attracted attention far beyond Indian motorsport circles. She is the first Indian racer to receive support from the F1 Academy , a development programme aimed at nurturing talented female drivers and helping them advance through the ranks of international racing.

Her latest achievement in Greece showcased exactly why she is considered one of the sport's most promising young prospects. In the last week of May, Atiqa became only the third driver in the history of the Champions of the Future Academy to complete a clean sweep of a championship round. She dominated the competition by topping qualifying, winning the heats and then clinching the final race with a commanding margin.

The youngster's success comes at a time when Indian motorsport is seeking greater global recognition. It also aligns with efforts to revive Formula 1 in India , with Mandaviya expressing interest in bringing the sport back to the country. India last hosted a Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2013.

For Atiqa Mir , however, the focus remains firmly on the track. With growing international success, backing from the F1 Academy and now support from the country's sports establishment, the Mumbai-born racer continues to move steadily towards one of the biggest dreams in motorsport.
