Sports Quota, TET Marks, Paper Leak: YS Jagan Flags DSC-2025 Irregularities

YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has once again alleged serious irregularities in the state’s DSC-2025 recruitment process, claiming that some candidates secured government jobs without appearing for the examination. He demanded a CBI probe into the entire recruitment process and called for the resignation of State Education Minister Nara Lokesh, holding him responsible for the alleged lapses.

Speaking at a press conference at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli on Thursday, Jagan alleged that the recruitment process was marred by serious discrepancies, particularly in appointments made under the sports quota.

Jagan claimed that 39 candidates were selected under the sports quota and questioned the authenticity of certificates submitted by some candidates. He alleged that certain applicants claimed to have participated in tournaments that were never conducted. Referring to a purported judo tournament in Khammam, he said the Telangana Judo Association had clarified that no such event was held. Jagan alleged that certificates for the event were issued by the Andhra Pradesh Judo Association, whose president, according to him, is Bharat, whom he described as Lokesh’s relative by marriage.

He also alleged similar irregularities in softball recruitment. Jagan cited the case of Yogeshwara Rao and his sister, who allegedly submitted certificates claiming medals at a kho-kho championship in Nalgonda. He said the Telangana Kho-Kho Association had stated that no such championship took place.

Jagan further raised questions over the appointment of a candidate named Prabhakar from Kurnool, alleging that he secured a post despite scoring below the required TET marks for his category. He claimed the candidate needed 75 marks but scored 65, and alleged that his category was later changed.

Jagan alleged that flaws existed in the examination system itself, including assigning question-bank preparation and examination responsibilities to the same person. He claimed an outsourcing employee gained access to the question paper, topped the examination and was later removed from the merit list.

He also referred to audio and video evidence allegedly indicating promises of jobs and said the matter had not been adequately investigated.

Jagan maintained that unemployed youth spend months preparing for DSC examinations and warned that recruitment irregularities could seriously affect their careers. He reiterated his demand for a CBI investigation and said the YSRCP was also pursuing the matter through legal channels.

The TDP strongly rejected Jagan’s claims, saying officials had already conducted four press conferences to clarify the DSC-2025 recruitment process. The party accused Jagan of spreading misinformation and creating a controversy.

The TDP also pointed out that Lokesh had challenged Jagan to raise the issue in the Assembly, but alleged that he instead travelled to Bengaluru. The party dismissed Jagan’s claims as being based on an “imaginary world” and reiterated that the allegations lacked credibility.
