Sri Lanka A finally found a way to overcome India A, clinching a thrilling Super Over victory in an emotionally charged tri-series encounter that ended amid confusion and heated exchanges on Monday.

The match witnessed dramatic scenes both during and after the contest, with tensions boiling over following the Super Over. India A opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was seen pushing a Sri Lankan player after the hosts sealed victory, adding to the drama surrounding the closely fought game.

The contest was forced into a tie after India A pacer Arshad Khan delivered a superb final over in regulation time. With Sri Lanka A requiring just five runs for victory, the left-arm seamer conceded only four runs through a series of accurate yorkers, denying the hosts what appeared to be a certain win.

Confusion followed the tied result, with uncertainty over whether a Super Over would be played. India A captain Tilak Varma reportedly urged the umpires to continue the contest, and after deliberations, the officials decided to settle the outcome through a Super Over.

However, Arshad's fortunes changed in the decider. The pacer conceded 16 runs , including a wide and a no-ball, giving Sri Lanka A a strong advantage. Surprisingly, the explosive Sooryavanshi did not face the first delivery of India's response.

Sri Lanka pacer Kugathas Mathulan , known for his slingy action, kept his composure under pressure and successfully defended the target against Sooryavanshi and Suryansh Shedge , restricting India A to just nine runs and securing a memorable win.

Earlier, India A recovered from a middle-order collapse to post 265 runs . Sooryavanshi made a quick-fire 21 off 14 balls before falling to off-spinner Sahan Arachchige. Tilak Varma contributed 23, while vice-captain Ruturaj Gaikwad added 32 before Sri Lanka's spinners tightened their grip on the game.

India A slipped from 91 for 2 to 143 for 7 , but Suryansh Shedge (72 off 66) and Vipraj Nigam (51 off 49) staged an impressive recovery. The duo added 104 runs for the eighth wicket , combining sensible running between the wickets with timely boundary-hitting to revive the innings.

Sri Lanka A's chase was anchored by Sadeera Samarawickrama , whose magnificent 91-run knock put the hosts on the brink of victory before Arshad's late heroics forced the match into a Super Over.

Having previously squandered a winning position against India A in the series opener, Sri Lanka A showed greater composure this time to seal a dramatic victory. The result handed India A their second defeat of the tri-series , having earlier lost to Afghanistan A.
