Stay Focused and Work Hard to Secure Police Jobs: Harish Rao

Former minister and BRS MLA T Harish Rao on Sunday urged unemployed youth preparing for police recruitment to remain focused and work with determination to secure government jobs.

Harish Rao inaugurated the KCR Free Coaching Centre in Siddipet, established at his personal expense to support aspirants preparing for police recruitment. Around 370 candidates are being provided free coaching along with lunch at the centre.

Addressing the aspirants, Harish Rao said their sole focus should remain on securing a job until November 29. Citing the example of Arjuna focusing only on the eye of the bird, he asked the candidates to concentrate completely on their target. He also advised them not to treat the programme as merely “free coaching” but to approach it with the seriousness of students who had paid a fee for their preparation.

Harish Rao said the coaching centre, named after former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), represented his determination and urged the candidates to draw inspiration from it. He stressed that becoming a constable requires not only academic preparation but also physical fitness and a sense of social responsibility.

The aspirants have been advised to attend classes from 9 am to 5 pm and maintain regular attendance. Harish Rao also called on them to stay away from mobile phones and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and short-form reels for six months. He warned that candidates who remained careless or irregular could lose their opportunity, with serious aspirants being given preference.

Harish Rao claimed that around 40,000 police jobs were filled in three phases during the previous BRS government. Criticising the Congress government, he alleged that despite promising two lakh jobs in its first year, it had provided only 16,000. He further claimed that although around 25,000 constable posts were vacant, notification had been issued for only 7,000 posts.

Referring to the first examination scheduled for November 29 as “Deeksha Diwas”, Harish Rao asked candidates to treat the day as a turning point in their lives. He said the main examination would be held on December 28.

He also promised to fund further training for candidates who qualify, including preparation for the physical test and final examination. Daily tests and a weekly grand test will be conducted at the coaching centre, he said, while reminding aspirants that time is more valuable than gold.
