Suriya's 'Scene' Gets U/A Certificate, Set for November 6 Diwali Release
Actor Suriya’s upcoming film 'Scene' has received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board of India, clearing the way for its theatrical release on November 6, 2026, coinciding with Diwali. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the film stars Suriya alongside Nazriya Nazim Fahadh in a co-lead role.
Production house Zhagaram Studios announced the certification on X on Wednesday, sharing a poster confirming the film’s U/A rating. The certification allows the film to reach a wider audience, with parental guidance recommended for younger viewers.
The makers recently released a new glimpse introducing Suriya as DSP Inbaraj, a cheerful and intelligent police officer who follows his own methods while investigating a case. Set during the COVID-19 outbreak, the one-minute-and-four-second video shows the officer maintaining his humorous nature even while handling a serious investigation.
The glimpse features an energetic background score by Sushin Shyam and concludes with a voice-over by Naslen, who plays Eeswaran in the film. His character says, “Innum Mudiyala…”, meaning “It isn't over yet.” The track featured in the video, titled 'Respectaa', has been sung by Arivu, with lyrics written by Vaasi.
'Scene' is produced by Jyotika and Suriya under the banner of Zhagaram Studios. The film also features Anandraj, Lal and Raj Priyan in key roles. With its November 6 release, the film is positioned as one of the theatrical releases scheduled around the Diwali festival.
Suriya was last seen in the romantic drama 'Vishwanath & Sons', directed by Venky Atluri and co-starring Mamitha Baiju. The film follows Sanjay Vishwanath, a successful industrialist who embraces fatherhood through surrogacy and develops a close bond with Maddy, a medical student. The cast also includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Sunil Reddy, Harika, Nassar and Rajiv Menon. The film is currently available to stream on Netflix.
