Suriya’s upcoming film with ‘Aavesham’ director Jithu Madhavan has been officially titled ‘Scene’, with the makers confirming a November 6, 2026 theatrical release for the Diwali season. The film marks Suriya’s 47th outing as a lead actor and his third release of the year after ‘Karuppu’ and ‘Vishwanath And Sons’.

The makers unveiled the title teaser on September 9, introducing Suriya as DSP Inbaraj, an unconventional police officer with a rebellious attitude. The glimpse presents him as a cop who is effective at handling criminals but does not appear particularly interested in following rules. His arrival at a crime scene and his interactions with other characters hint at an action packed entertainer with comedy and chaos.

The teaser has already received a positive response from fans, with Suriya’s look, mass moments, grey shades and Sushin Shyam’s background score becoming major talking points. The music director, who previously worked with Jithu Madhavan on ‘Aavesham’, is making his Tamil debut with ‘Scene’.

‘Scene’ brings together Suriya with Malayalam actors Nazriya Nazim and Naslen, while Lal, Anandraj and Raj Priyan are also part of the cast. Nazriya returns to Tamil cinema after ‘Thirumanam Enum Nikkah’, while ‘Scene’ marks Jithu Madhavan and Naslen’s Tamil debut.

The film went on floors in December 2025 and completed its shoot in July 2026. Jithu Madhavan, known for ‘Romancham’ and ‘Aavesham’, is making his Tamil directorial debut with the project. Suriya and Jyothika are producing the film under Zhagaram Studios, with Jaishree Damodaran serving as co producer.

The technical team includes cinematographer Vineeth Augustian, editor Ajmal Sabu, production designer Ashwini Kale and action director Chethan D’Souza. Tamil dialogues have been penned by Dravid Selvam.

The film has also secured its digital and music partnerships, with Netflix acquiring the streaming rights and Sony Music securing the music rights.

‘Scene’ is now set for a major Diwali clash with ‘Ramayana’, making November 6 a significant date for Tamil and Indian cinema audiences. The teaser has raised expectations for Jithu Madhavan’s first Tamil film and Suriya’s attempt to continue his successful run in 2026.
