Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has said that the state government is committed to providing world-class English medium boarding education to students from rural and economically weaker backgrounds through newly developed integrated residential schools.

The Minister, along with District Collector Tejas Nand Lal Pawar , inspected the ongoing construction of an Integrated Residential School at Gaddipalli village in Garidepally mandal of Nalgonda district. The project is being developed at an estimated cost of ₹250 crore .

Speaking to the media during his visit, Uttam Kumar Reddy said the school is being built as part of a broader plan to ensure that children from villages in the Huzurnagar constituency receive high-quality education on par with urban standards , without having to leave their native regions.

He explained that the upcoming institution is designed to accommodate 2,500 students at a time , with a focus on providing a comprehensive learning environment. The campus will include modern classrooms, residential hostels, dining facilities, sports infrastructure, and other student-friendly amenities aimed at supporting both academic and personal development.

The Minister noted that construction work is progressing steadily, with engineers and contractors working under continuous supervision to ensure timely completion and quality standards. He said his visit was intended to personally review the progress and ensure that there are no compromises in execution.

According to the government’s plan, the project is expected to be completed by 2027 , with academic sessions likely to begin in the 2027–28 academic year . Officials believe the school will become a model institution for integrated residential education in the state.

Uttam Kumar Reddy emphasized that the core objective of the initiative is to bridge the gap between rural and urban education systems by bringing city-level educational facilities directly to rural students . He added that such institutions would play a key role in improving access, quality, and equality in education across Telangana.
