Telangana Invites German Investors, Showcases State as a Global Manufacturing and Innovation Hub

Telangana has renewed its push to attract global investments, with IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inviting German companies to explore the state's rapidly expanding industrial and technology ecosystem. He stated that Telangana offers one of the most favorable environments in India for establishing manufacturing industries, supported by investor-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure, and a highly skilled workforce .

The minister made these remarks during a meeting with a high-level German delegation led by Tobias Gotthardt at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad on Friday. The discussions focused on strengthening Telangana-Germany economic and industrial relations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

During the interaction, Sridhar Babu urged German industrialists to invest in Telangana and outlined the state's vision of becoming a global manufacturing hub . He explained that the government is implementing strategic policies and incentives to accelerate industrial growth and attract international businesses across diverse sectors.

The minister highlighted significant investment opportunities in life sciences, biotechnology, aerospace, defence manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, precision engineering, digital engineering, semiconductors, automotive and mobility, artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, research and innovation, clean energy, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), and Industry 4.0 technologies . He noted that these sectors are expected to play a crucial role in driving the state's future economic growth.

Emphasizing Telangana's long-term development strategy, Sridhar Babu said the government is building a comprehensive industrial ecosystem that prioritizes advanced technology, innovation, research, and skill development. These efforts are aimed at meeting future industry requirements while creating sustainable employment and investment opportunities.

The minister also stressed that Telangana is keen to expand its partnership with Germany beyond investment alone. The state is ready to deepen cooperation in technology transfer, research collaborations, innovation initiatives, and workforce skill development , paving the way for stronger bilateral engagement.

The German delegation included Michael Hasper, Amita Desai, Ulrike Hoffmann and John Kottayil. The meeting underscored Telangana's commitment to strengthening international partnerships and attracting high-value investments across emerging industries.
