Telangana Sees 2.8 Lakh Daily MeeSeva Transactions, Says Sridhar Babu

Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said the state's digital governance initiatives continue to gain strong public acceptance, with the MeeSeva platform processing nearly 2.8 lakh digital transactions every day.

Speaking to the media after participating in the AI Transformation Conclave in Hyderabad, the minister said the government is leveraging technology to make public services faster, simpler, and more accessible. He noted that around 580 citizen services are now available through MeeSeva via WhatsApp, enabling residents to access a wide range of government services without visiting offices.

According to Sridhar Babu, the growing volume of daily transactions reflects the public's increasing trust in Telangana's digital service delivery ecosystem. He said the government remains committed to transforming governance by offering citizen-centric services through modern digital platforms that improve convenience and efficiency.

The minister emphasized that the government's primary objective is to place citizens at the centre of governance. He described the availability of 580 public services through a digital interface as a significant milestone, adding that these initiatives are making everyday interactions with government departments more seamless for people across the state.

Highlighting the administration's broader technology agenda, Sridhar Babu said the Telangana government has consistently expanded the use of digital tools over the past 30 months to enhance the quality and efficiency of public service delivery. He added that the next phase of governance reforms will focus on expanding Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven solutions across government departments to further improve administrative efficiency and citizen experience.

The minister also described the AI Transformation Conclave as a timely platform for collaboration, bringing together policy-makers, technology experts, and representatives from various states to exchange ideas on AI adoption and digital governance. He said the discussions would help shape Telangana's future strategy as the state aims to integrate AI-powered governance into more public services and elevate digital administration to the next level.
