Three Children Killed After Water Tank Wall Collapses at Factory Construction Site in Rajasthan

Three children lost their lives after a water tank wall collapsed on them at a factory construction site in Bhiwadi town of Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district, police said on Tuesday.

The incident took place on Monday afternoon at an under-construction plant located on Old Samtal Road in the industrial area. According to officials, several people were standing near the tank when the wall suddenly gave way, trapping them beneath the debris.

A four-year-old girl, Meenu Sharma , died on the spot. Two boys, Jyotish Sharma (8) and Shivam (12) , sustained serious injuries and were referred to a hospital in Delhi for advanced treatment. Both children later succumbed to their injuries late on Monday night, police said.

Three other injured persons, Shrimani (40), Jeetu (25) and Aruna (40) are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhiwadi. Their condition remains serious , according to officials.

Bhiwadi Deputy Superintendent of Police Pradeep Nehra said the victims were present near the water tank when its wall collapsed. He added that the factory was being constructed by a private builder .

Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the collapse. No further details regarding the cause of the incident or any action against those responsible were immediately available.

The accident has drawn attention to safety practices at construction sites, particularly at large industrial projects where structural work is still underway. Police said further action would depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation into the fatal incident.
