Three Vishwak Sen Films In 36 Days As 'Cult' Locks October 30 Release

Vishwak Sen is heading into an unusually packed theatrical run, with three films scheduled to arrive within 36 days. The actor’s directorial venture 'Cult' has now officially locked October 30 as its worldwide release date, followed by 'ENE Repeat' on November 19 and 'Legacy' on December 4.

The latest addition to the calendar is 'Cult', an action thriller that Vishwak is directing and starring in. He has also handled the story and screenplay. Produced by Sandeep Kakarala under Tarak Cinemas, the film is being promoted as an authentic slasher thriller inspired by disturbing real life incidents.

The September 19 release date announcement came with an action packed promo that offered a glimpse of the film’s violent world. The story revolves around a private party and a dangerous game in which those who lose face deadly consequences. Gayatri Bharadwaj, Tarak Ponnappa and Murali Sharma are among the other actors in the cast, while Ravi Basrur is composing the music.

Two weeks later, Vishwak will return with 'ENE Repeat', the sequel to Tharun Bhascker’s 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi'. The buddy comedy brings back Vishwak with Abhinav Gomatam, Srinath Maganti and Venkatesh Kakumanu, with the makers officially announcing November 19 as its theatrical release date.

The third release is 'Legacy', a political action drama directed by Saikiran Reddy Daida. The film stars Vishwak opposite Ekta Rathod, with Kay Kay Menon playing the antagonist. Its December 4 release was officially announced earlier this month.

This means Vishwak could have three films in theatres across just over a month, with each project belonging to a different genre. The closely packed schedule also puts the spotlight on how the three teams handle promotions without their campaigns competing for attention.
