Tirumala Brahmotsavams Witness 5.76 Lakh Devotees, ₹28.94 Crore Hundi Collection

The annual Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams concluded successfully through the coordinated efforts of various departments, with 5.76 lakh devotees receiving darshan of Lord Venkateswara during the eight-day festival from September 15 to 22, according to TTD officials. Arrangements focused on ensuring uninterrupted darshan, annaprasadam, drinking water, sanitation, security and other essential services for pilgrims.

The Andhra Pradesh government and TTD undertook several initiatives during the festival. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu offered silk robes to Lord Venkateswara on behalf of the state government on September 15 and unveiled the 2027 TTD diaries and calendars. He also launched the renovated Sri Venkateswara Museum, Healing and Devotion Experience Centre, Durlabh Darshan VR experience, electric buses, Nandakam app and a group insurance scheme for devotees.

TTD said pilgrims were provided Moolavirat darshan along with opportunities to witness the various vehicle processions. Special arrangements were made on Garuda Seva day, with officials stating that all devotees arriving in Tirumala were facilitated for darshan. TTD is also planning an integrated township on 50 acres near Alipiri, expansion of green cover through the Vriksha Govindam initiative, strengthening of Srivari Seva and medical services, and infrastructure development in its employees' housing colony with a proposed allocation of ₹230 crore.

Tirumala was decorated with 60 tonnes of flowers, four lakh cut flowers and 80,000 seasonal flowers. Thirty-six large digital screens were installed to help devotees watch the processions, while SVBC provided HD live coverage with commentary by prominent scholars.

For pilgrim safety and support, TTD deployed 4,000 Srivari Sevaks, 50 doctors, 150 paramedical staff and 16 ambulances. Security arrangements included 3,000 police and 2,400 vigilance personnel, with an additional 1,000 police deployed on Garuda Seva day.

The festival recorded ₹28.94 crore in hundi collections, distribution of 21.84 lakh annaprasadam portions, 2.04 lakh devotees offering hair and 33 lakh laddus sold. APSRTC transported over 8.89 lakh passengers through services between Tirupati and Tirumala.
