The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two alleged associates of foreign-based gangster Goldy Dhillon and recovered firearms, ammunition, mobile phones and other items, officials said on Saturday.

The accused, Jatin Bhardwaj alias Nannu (28) and Sukhwinder Singh alias Bagga (28) from Rajpura, Punjab, were allegedly involved in the gang’s arms and narcotics supply network and provided logistical support to criminal operatives.

Police said Jatin was arrested in Rohini on June 24 following information that he was planning a serious crime. A semi-automatic pistol and four live cartridges were recovered from him. Further investigation led to Sukhwinder’s arrest, with police recovering a country-made pistol and two cartridges at his instance.

Special Commissioner of Police (Crime) H G Dhaliwal said gang members linked to overseas-based criminals were using encrypted platforms like Signal and Zangi , along with VPNs and virtual numbers, to evade detection.

Police claimed Jatin was involved in 14 criminal cases related to theft, burglary, snatching, Arms Act and NDPS offences, while Sukhwinder was allegedly named in seven cases in Punjab.

The arrests come amid a crackdown on the Goldy Dhillon gang , which agencies have linked to alleged extortion, illegal arms trafficking, narcotics operations and targeted violence. Investigators have also probed the gang’s alleged role in recent attacks, including a shooting incident at a Chandigarh chemist shop .

Police recovered two pistols, six live cartridges, a motorcycle and four mobile phones from the accused. Further investigation is underway to trace other members of the network and its interstate and international links.
