
Union Minister, MLA Launch Rs 6.7 Crore Road Project In Guntur District
A long-awaited road connectivity project in Ananthavarappadu village of Guntur district has finally moved forward, bringing relief to residents after nearly 17 years of waiting .
Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar and Prathipadu MLA Dr Burla Ramanjaneyulu jointly laid the foundation stone on Sunday for the construction of a new BT road linking Ananthavarappadu village in Vatticherukuru mandal with National Highway-16 (NH-16) .
The project, being taken up with an investment of Rs 6.7 crore from APCRDA funds , is expected to significantly improve transportation facilities for local residents and strengthen connectivity between the village and major road networks.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramanjaneyulu said the coalition government led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is committed to enhancing infrastructure and improving living standards in rural areas. He noted that quality road networks play a crucial role in accelerating economic growth and ensuring better access to markets and services.
The MLA stated that once completed, the road will make daily travel easier for residents while also benefiting farmers in surrounding villages by enabling quicker and safer transportation of agricultural produce to markets.
He further said the present government has prioritised infrastructure development in areas that had witnessed neglect in the past and is accelerating projects based on local requirements. According to him, the new road will serve as an important step towards the region’s overall development and economic progress.
