US Roofing Firm Monarch Expands Into India, Targets Four South Indian States

Monarch Global Roofing, a US-based roofing technology company, has begun manufacturing operations in Bharuch, Gujarat, ahead of its commercial expansion in India. The company, whose roofing technology was developed and engineered in California, has a presence across 12 countries and manufacturing facilities in multiple nations.

At the centre of its India launch is the CFR Hybrid Roof, a six-layer Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composite roofing sheet. The company says the product is designed to be heat-resistant, sound-resistant, rust-free and corrosion-resistant, while also offering UV and fade resistance. It carries a 25-year warranty and has received Class B1 fire-resistance certification under European EN 13501 standards.

The Bharuch facility, equipped with 10 advanced production machines, has a combined production capacity of around 1,400 square feet per hour. The Gujarat plant is expected to support domestic distribution while reducing the costs and supply timelines associated with imported roofing products.

Monarch is initially targeting Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana, with distribution through selected wholesale and retail roofing supply stores and certified installer networks from July 2026.

The company said its international deployments across markets including the Philippines, Thailand, UAE, Australia, Japan and Europe have provided experience with diverse climatic and regulatory conditions. It is positioning the Indian-made product for applications ranging from residential and commercial construction to industrial and institutional projects.

The South India launch is being viewed as a strategic entry into a region exposed to high UV intensity, coastal corrosion and prolonged monsoon conditions. Monarch plans to use the initial expansion to establish its presence in India before pursuing wider market growth.
