The Uttarakhand High Court has expressed strong displeasure over the alleged failure of local authorities to implement its earlier directions in a case concerning the safety of women and children residing at Khan Farm in Udham Singh Nagar district, where a family property dispute is underway.

A single-judge bench of Justice Alok Mahra instructed the District Magistrate and the Senior Superintendent of Police of Udham Singh Nagar to ensure immediate compliance with the High Court's order issued on June 11 . The court also directed both officials to appear in person on July 6 to explain the alleged non-compliance.

The proceedings stem from a petition filed by Sikandar Alam Khan , who claimed that the farmhouse located in the Kichha area has become the centre of a contentious inheritance dispute. According to the petition, the property belonged to his aunt, Kulsum Khan , who executed a registered will in 2024 in favour of Saira Vadra , sister-in-law of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra , and the petitioner.

The petition states that after Kulsum Khan passed away on December 18, 2025 , Nasreen Sanga , who also claims rights over the property, allegedly entered the farmhouse with the support of anti-social elements despite the existence of the registered will and an earlier court stay order.

Representing the petitioner, advocate Puran Singh Rawat argued that both Saira Vadra and Nasreen Sanga have laid claim to Khan Farm, while maintaining that the property legally belongs to the petitioner's late aunt and should be governed by the terms of her will.

The petitioner further alleged that the authorities did not act on the High Court's previous directions, prompting the fresh plea seeking protection for the women and children living at the farmhouse and effective enforcement of the court's orders.

The High Court's current proceedings are focused on ensuring compliance with its earlier directives and safeguarding the occupants of the property. The underlying ownership dispute over Khan Farm remains subject to adjudication through the legal process.
