Vempalle Mandal Witnesses a Wave of Devotion
Nandipalli village in Vempalle mandal witnessed a spiritually uplifting celebration as the renowned Sri Nandeeswara Temple hosted the consecration of newly installed idols and the Maha Kumbhabhishekam of Lord Nandeeswara along with Goddess Parvati. The ceremony was conducted amid devotional fervour and drew a large gathering of devotees.
Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy participated in the sacred rituals, adding prominence to the event. Dressed in traditional attire, he joined temple priests and Vedic scholars during the elaborate ceremonies, including homams and abhishekams , and offered special prayers to the deities. He later received blessings from the priests and spent time interacting with devotees in the temple premises.
Addressing the gathering, Jagan underlined that temples represent more than places of worship—they embody the cultural and spiritual foundations of society. He observed that devotion nurtures peace, unity, and social harmony. Strengthening temple infrastructure in rural areas, he said, helps sustain spiritual awareness and preserve long-standing traditions.
He noted that community-driven religious events such as this reflect collective dedication and play a vital role in bringing people together. The successful organisation of the idol consecration and Kumbhabhishekam, he added, stands as a proud achievement for the villagers and will remain a memorable spiritual landmark for years to come.
Jagan commended the temple committee chairman and members for their efforts in conducting the event on a grand scale. He also appreciated the active participation of villagers, describing the celebration as a symbol of unity and shared faith.
Kadapa MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy , YSRCP leaders, local representatives, and hundreds of devotees were present on the occasion. Devotees queued up in large numbers to seek the blessings of Lord Nandeeswara.
Concluding his visit, Jagan conveyed his wishes to the villagers and expressed hope that the divine grace of the deity would guide and protect the community.
