Telugu cinema's most eagerly awaited family entertainer just became even more exciting. The makers of Aadarsha Kutumbam House No. 47 - AK47 , starring Victory Venkatesh and directed by the wizard of words Trivikram Srinivas , have dropped a fresh new poster along with a big announcement, the film is heading to cinemas on October 2, 2026 .

The film shoot has been progressing at a brisk pace, and with the first look having already matched all expectations, the makers are now ready with a big update, Aadarsha Kutumbam AK47 is all set for its grand release on October 2nd . It is a date that carries significant weight in Telugu cinema, a Gandhi Jayanti holiday release with a long opening weekend on offer, the kind of slot that family entertainers thrive in. Trivikram knows exactly what he is doing.

Producer Naga Vamsi confirmed the October 2 release date, putting an end to all the speculation that had been building around the film. The makers had originally targeted a summer release, but with shooting still underway, the team shifted its sights to the festive Dussehra season , with October 2 emerging as the confirmed date that gives the film a massive opening weekend alongside the holidays.

The film was launched in December 2025 under the title Aadarsha Kutumbam House No. 47 - AK47 , with a charming first-look poster featuring a smiling, relaxed Venkatesh standing in the middle of a road, the picture of an ideal family man. The project had been tentatively referred to as #Venky77 before the title reveal. The title itself is quintessential Trivikram, pairing something warm and rooted ( Aadarsha Kutumbam , meaning Ideal Family) with something edgy and unexpected ( AK47 ), and leaving audiences happily confused about what exactly they are in for.

This is the first time Trivikram Srinivas will be directing Venkatesh in a film, making the collaboration a historic first for Telugu cinema. The two have history, however, Trivikram previously penned the story and dialogues for the superhit Nuvvu Naaku Nachav , directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar, making this directorial debut between them the natural, long-overdue next chapter. This also marks Trivikram's return to the director's chair after Guntur Kaaram , which was released during Sankranthi 2024 .

Srinidhi Shetty is confirmed as the female lead, with music composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar . The film is produced by S. Radha Krishna under the Haarika and Hassine Creations banner. Nara Rohith is reportedly playing a key role in the film, adding further intrigue to what is already shaping up to be a stellar ensemble.

Behind the scenes, reports suggest the team has been making script revisions after noticing certain similarities between portions of the story and Arjun Sarja's recent sleeper hit Blast . Once aware of the resemblance, the makers are said to have taken the matter seriously, reworking several important scenes to ensure audiences do not feel reminded of another film when they watch AK47 in theatres. That kind of attention to originality, rare as it is in today's industry, only adds to confidence in the film's craftsmanship.
