The much-anticipated collaboration between Chiyaan Vikram and director Anand Shankar has officially entered the production stage, with the makers unveiling a striking new poster to announce the commencement of shooting. Carrying the tagline “Cooking Begins,” the first-look poster offers a glimpse of Vikram in a rugged and battle-scarred avatar, immediately generating buzz among fans and the Tamil film industry.

The project, currently referred to as Chiyaan 63 , marks the reunion of Vikram and Anand Shankar nearly a decade after their successful action thriller Iru Mugan . Given the popularity of their previous collaboration, expectations are running high for the actor-director duo’s latest venture.

The newly released poster presents Vikram in an intense look, featuring visible injuries, blood stains, dark glasses, and a cigarette amid a smoky backdrop. The dark visual tone suggests a gritty action drama, although the makers have not revealed any official plot details. Industry observers believe the film could blend action, suspense, and emotional depth, while maintaining the stylish storytelling that Anand Shankar is known for.

Interestingly, promotional material released earlier hinted at a character with a dual identity , reportedly portraying a chef with connections to the criminal underworld. The latest “Cooking Begins” announcement appears to build on that concept, adding further intrigue to the project.

The film boasts a strong technical team. Acclaimed composer Santhosh Narayanan has been roped in to score the music, while noted cinematographer R.D. Rajasekar will handle the visuals. The crew also includes editor Raymond Derrick Crasta , production designer Rajeevan , and dialogue writer Shan Karuppusamy .

Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films , the project is backed by T.G. Thyagarajan , with Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan serving as producers. Reports suggest that Riya Shibu has been cast as the female lead, while veteran actors M.S. Bhaskar and Urvashi are expected to play important roles.

The film arrives at a significant point in Vikram’s career following acclaimed performances in recent years. According to industry reports, the actor has allocated nearly 50 shooting days for the ongoing Chennai schedule, underlining the scale of the production.

While the makers are yet to reveal the film’s official title, storyline, or release date, Chiyaan 63 has already emerged as one of the most eagerly awaited projects in Tamil cinema. With a proven creative team, a compelling premise, and Vikram’s trademark commitment to transformation, the film has all the ingredients of a major big-screen entertainer.
