Virat Kohli’s Playful Airport Banter Wins Hearts Ahead of New Zealand Tour

The 37-year-old cricketer wore a checkered shirt, white trousers, a brown cap and sunglasses as photographers gathered to capture his pictures. Kohli patiently posed for them before preparing to leave for his vehicle.

As the photographers continued clicking, Kohli playfully asked, “Aur kitni der ruku?” (How much longer should I wait?). His humorous remark drew smiles from the photographers. He also reportedly gave them a thumbs-up and waved before leaving, with videos and pictures of the interaction subsequently circulating on social media.

Fans praised Kohli’s approachable demeanour, with many calling him “King Kohli” and appreciating his friendly interaction despite the attention surrounding him.

The airport appearance comes after Kohli’s impressive performance in India’s recent three-match ODI series against the West Indies. He scored 139 not out off 88 balls in the opening match, reaching the milestone of 15,000 ODI runs and registering his 55th century in the format. India went on to win the series 2-1.

According to reports, Kohli has accumulated 552 runs in nine ODIs this year, including two centuries and three half-centuries, highlighting his strong form in the 50-over format.
