Light to moderate rainfall was recorded at isolated places in Rajasthan under the influence of a western disturbance, while most parts of the state remained dry, the Meteorological Department said on Saturday.

During the 24 hours ending Saturday morning, rainfall was reported in parts of Kotputli-Behror, Khairthal-Tijara, Alwar, Deeg, Dausa and Churu districts. Weather conditions remained mainly dry across the rest of the state, according to the department.

Viratnagar in Kotputli-Behror district recorded the highest rainfall at 25 mm during the period, indicating the localised impact of the weather system.Meanwhile, temperatures remained relatively high in some areas, with Barmer recording the state's highest maximum temperature at 38.8 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department said the western disturbance is likely to influence weather conditions in parts of northern Rajasthan on Saturday. Isolated places in the northern areas of the Bikaner and Jaipur divisions are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall.

The rainfall may be accompanied by strong winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kmph, the department said, advising people to remain alert to changing weather conditions in the affected areas. However, the impact of the western disturbance is expected to be limited, with no widespread rainfall forecast across the state.

According to the weather department, dry conditions are likely to prevail over most parts of Rajasthan for the next three to four days from October 25. The forecast suggests that the brief spell of rainfall will largely remain confined to isolated locations, while the majority of the state is expected to experience stable weather.

The latest forecast indicates a gradual return to predominantly dry conditions following the localised showers. Residents in the northern parts of the Bikaner and Jaipur divisions may experience temporary changes in weather on Saturday, particularly due to gusty winds accompanying the rainfall.

The department's assessment points to a largely dry outlook for Rajasthan in the coming days, despite the western disturbance bringing scattered showers to a few districts.
