A viral video showing a young man operating a laptop while riding a motorcycle on a city road has triggered concern among road safety advocates and prompted a stern warning from Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar .

In an era where professionals increasingly use travel time to stay productive, it is common to see office employees working on laptops while commuting by train, metro, or bus. However, a recent incident in Hyderabad has drawn attention to the dangers of taking multitasking to an unsafe level.

The video, which has been widely shared on social media platforms, appears to show a motorcyclist balancing a laptop and carrying out office-related work while travelling on a public road. The footage quickly attracted criticism from netizens, many of whom questioned the risks posed by such behaviour.

Responding to the incident, Sajjanar shared the video on his social media account and cautioned citizens against engaging in activities that divert their attention from the road. He emphasised that every task has an appropriate place and time, and attempting to work while riding a vehicle is an example of irresponsible and dangerous conduct .

The Police Commissioner warned that even a momentary lapse in concentration can have serious consequences. According to him, distracted riding not only endangers the individual involved but also puts the lives of fellow motorists, passengers, and pedestrians at risk.

Highlighting the importance of road safety, Sajjanar remarked that professional commitments should never come before personal safety. He noted that while people may be eager to save time and meet work deadlines, risking one's life for productivity is never justified .

Urging the public to adopt responsible road habits, he appealed to commuters to avoid distractions while driving or riding and ensure their complete focus remains on the road. He stressed that safe travel should always be a priority and that no job is worth compromising human life.
