YS Jagan Seeks CBI Probe Into Mega DSC Recruitment, Alleges Large-Scale Irregularities
YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has called for a CBI investigation into the recently completed Mega DSC teacher recruitment drive , alleging that the process was riddled with irregularities and lacked transparency.
In a detailed post on social media platform X, Jagan described the recruitment exercise for nearly 16,000 teacher posts as a "multi-layered scam" and accused the state government of compromising established safeguards that were meant to ensure a fair selection process. He alleged that the recruitment was carried out under the supervision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh .
Jagan claimed that significant procedural changes were introduced in the conduct of the examination. According to him, responsibilities such as question paper preparation and examination management , which were previously handled separately, were placed under a single authority, increasing the possibility of manipulation. He also questioned the decision to involve outsourced personnel in sensitive tasks related to the examination process.
The former chief minister further alleged that an outsourced employee associated with the examination process secured the top rank in the recruitment test, raising concerns about a possible question paper leak . He noted that the individual's details were subsequently removed from the merit list and that the candidate was reportedly not called for certificate verification, developments he said warranted a thorough investigation.
Jagan also questioned the transparency of the results process. Unlike previous DSC recruitments, where merit lists were publicly displayed at district collectorates, the latest exercise relied primarily on online publication. He alleged that some candidates who completed certificate verification did not find their names in the final selection list.
Another major concern raised by the YSRCP leader relates to sports quota appointments . He alleged that changes in government orders allowed certain candidates to secure teaching posts without appearing for the DSC written examination, creating what he described as a backdoor entry mechanism .
Referring to reports of alleged money transactions linked to teacher appointments, Jagan said law enforcement agencies had failed to conduct a comprehensive inquiry. Describing the recruitment exercise as a case of systemic corruption and administrative manipulation , he demanded an independent CBI probe to uncover the facts and restore confidence among thousands of aspiring teachers and job seekers.
The Andhra Pradesh government has not yet responded to the allegations.
