YS Jagan’s Pulivendula Tour Blends Devotion and Rural Traditions

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy spent a busy day in the Pulivendula Assembly constituency , participating in religious ceremonies, promoting rural traditions, and extending support to the family of a senior party leader.

As part of his tour, Jagan visited Bhumayyagaripalle village in Vemula mandal , where he took part in the inauguration celebrations of the newly constructed Gattu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple . The former Chief Minister received a traditional welcome from temple priests, who greeted him with a Purna Kumbham amid the chanting of Vedic hymns.

Jagan participated in the temple's consecration rituals and offered special prayers to the presiding deity. He also attended the Kalasha Shankusthapana ceremony and took part in the Sudarshana Homam , culminating in the offering of Purnahuti . During the rituals, he prayed for the well-being, prosperity, and good health of the people of Andhra Pradesh, seeking the blessings of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy for peace and progress across the state.

Following the temple programme, Jagan proceeded to a nearby venue to inaugurate state-level bullock cart pulling competitions , a popular rural sporting tradition in the Rayalaseema region. He formally flagged off the event and interacted with participants, appreciating the efforts of athletes, cattle owners, and organisers who continue to preserve Andhra Pradesh's rich village culture and heritage through such competitions.

The visit also included a condolence call at the residence of senior YSRCP leader Obulareddy Srirami Reddy , who recently passed away following an illness. Meeting the bereaved family, Jagan conveyed his heartfelt sympathies and recalled Srirami Reddy's longstanding contribution to the party.

Describing his death as an irreparable loss to the YSRCP, Jagan assured family members that the party would continue to stand by them in the days ahead. He also remembered the leader's commitment and service to the organisation over the years.

Large numbers of party leaders, cadre, supporters, and local residents gathered at various locations during the tour, giving the former Chief Minister a warm reception and underscoring his enduring connect with the people of his home constituency.
